Remington started his band in the summer of 2020 when he successfully acquired mare Democracy and her colt Bart from stallion Copper. In February 2021, he took mare Ember’s Girl and her filly, Emery, from Red Face. By April of that year, mares Opal, Eagle, and her filly Birdie also joined the band. Later in 2021, Remington removed Bart from the band, and he became a bachelor. The band faced a huge loss in 2022, when Democracy’s foal for that year, Patriot, disappeared. In January 2023, Remington added another mare, Lakota. Several new foals were also born into the band over the years, including Winchester, Willow, and Dillinger, all from mare Democracy. However, the band faced another loss in 2024 when mare Birdie disappeared.
At the end of 2024, the band gained a new member when mare Bella, previously part of Chance’s band, moved in with Remington’s group. In the spring of 2025, the band grew again when mare Democracy gave birth to a colt named Tango. We were fortunate to see all four of Democracy’s foals together until September, when Winchester was removed from the band and began walking as a bachelor with his older brother Bart.
